Curtis Anthony Still (66)

Curtis was born in Dumas, AK. His family then moved to New Orleans Westbank where he grew up hunting, fishing, camping and being a kid. He attended school and after graduation joined the Army. Upon completing his time in the Army he returned home and worked as a certified crane operator throughout his career.

He is survived by his Mom -- Gerlene (CJ) Cook and his 3 sisters -- Darlena (Irvin) Gros, Christina Still and Tracy Still. Curtis was also survived by the 3 children he fathered -- Lori Still ( her daughters -- Kamya Still, Kaycie Still and Kaydence Still), Loni (the late Jace) Still-Cardon and Curtis Joseph (Kassi) Still.

Curtis was preceded in death by his second wife Rometta Lumbard Still (who brought into his family her 6 children, 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grand children).

When Curtis received his cancer diagnosis, he retired and moved from Lafitte, LA to McComb, MS. Here he lived out his life and fought a courageous battle for 3 years with his wife of the last 7 years of his life, Denise (who brought her 4 children -- Helena Bennett, Sybil Bennett, Margaret Hopkins and Sidney Bennett, III ; Her 3 grandchildren -- Katie (Bradly) Spiers, Robert Hopkins and Nash Hopkins; and her 2 great granddaughters -- Ember Spiers and Arya Spiers into his family). He was lovingly cared for at home where he died peacefully in her arms.

Curtis was a wonderful, loving, caring son, brother, Dad, grandpa, great pawpaw and husband who will always be loved and missed. Rest in peace in the Father's arms, until we are together again.
