Felton Daniel, Jr. was born on March 6, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Felton Daniel, Sr. and Audrey Clorinda Sandifer Daniel. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Savior. After moving to Brookhaven, Mississippi, he became a faithful member of Kynett United Methodist Church, where he was actively involved in the life of the church and community.
Felton received his education in the Brookhaven Public School System, attending Fannie L. Mullins Elementary School, C.H. Lipsey School, Alexander Junior High School, and Brookhaven High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1978. Following high school, he continued his education at THEE Jackson State University.
Throughout his life, Felton was known for his strong work ethic and determination. He began his career with UPS, where he worked until relocating to Memphis, Tennessee. There, he worked in building maintenance before pursuing a new career path by attending the Tennessee College of Applied Technology, where he completed truck driving school. He then enjoyed a successful career as a professional truck driver, working for Daniel & Associates Trucking Company, American Yeast Company, BFI, and J.B. Hunt. He remained with J.B. Hunt until his health declined, leading to his retirement.
Felton had a deep love for music and was well known for his appreciation and collection of fine colognes. He enjoyed life's simple pleasures and treasured time spent with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felton Daniel, Sr. and Audrey C. Daniel; two brothers, Calvin R. Gray and Grayland Daniel; and one sister, Francesca Daniel.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his brother, Fregene Daniel, Sr. (Willie Ann) of Bartlett, Tennessee; his sisters, Gonda M. Scarbrough of Brookhaven, Mississippi, and Zipporah Smith of Southaven, Mississippi; and his four beloved children, LaTasha Allen and Fredrick Allen of Brookhaven, Mississippi, Martese Smith of Michigan, and Petra Daniel of Clinton, Mississippi.
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren; beloved aunts and uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Additionally, he leaves to cherish his memory his special companion and friend, Ms. Lola B. Bell, and her family, with whom he shared many meaningful years and treasured memories.
Felton will be remembered as a man of faith, hard work, and devotion to family and friends. His warm spirit, kind heart, and love for life touched the lives of many. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of perseverance, love, and friendship will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
