Ruby Lee Collins

Ruby Lee Collins was born on July 21, 1938, in Copiah County, Mississippi, to the late Isaac Collins and Vern Lee Collins. He was blessed to be part of a large family with many brothers and sisters. At an early age, Ruby accepted Christ into his life, and that faith remained the foundation that would guide him throughout his journey.

He grew up in the Mississippi Delta, where he learned the value of hard work, responsibility, and taking care of family. Ruby was a man who led by example. He believed in working with his hands, providing for his lived ones, and making the most of what the land gave him.

Later in life, he became a devoted member of New Foundation Missionary Baptist Church, where he was an active usher and faithfully served his church family. His faith was not just a part of his life - it was the anchor that kept him steady. He was known for his kindness, his willingness to help others, and his genuine care for people.

Whether he was working on the farm, cooking over a cast-iron pot, attending church, or spending time with his children, grandchildre, and great-grandchildren, Ruby gave his all. He lived a life of purpose, integrity, and love - always putting others before himself.

A remarkable man. An unforgettable journey.
